The Cast of Cabaret Supper Club has teamed up with Another World Belfast to supply essential care to those living below the poverty line in Belfast City
HELPING BELFAST’S HOMELESS AND DISPLACED,
With the festive season almost over the cast of Supper Club has teamed up to support The Love Pack Campaign by Another World Belfast. This volunteer collective is working with local businesses and the generous public who have been donating in their droves to ‘Show Some Love’ and supply essential care and hygiene aid to those living below the poverty line in Belfast city.
The Love Pack returned on November 5th with an exciting new look, and an enthusiastic team of 30 nominated ambassadors around the city. Their aim is to share their message and rally the troops before collecting, sorting, packing and distributing donations of toiletries, nappies, underwear, and many other essential care items for homeless and otherwise displaced communities living in desperate need.
Last year with a target of 50 individual care packages, they received an amazing response: instead, they delivered an incredible 183 boxes to their recipient organisations as well as several packages of surplus. This year they will work with Bryson Intercultural, Centenary house, The Welcome Organisation, The Store House, Extern, NICRAS and Cabaret Supper Club.
On an Instagram post, Another World Belfast praised the massive efforts of their countrywide support network with a special mention for Derry Girls actress Nicola Coughlan, who helped to spread the world whilst filming on location in the maiden city for the hit series’ second season.
Founders Connor Kerr and Rebecca Bellamy asked readers to pack an extra few items into their trolley the next time they go shopping adding:
“Support for this season’s campaign has so far been incredible! We have never been more thankful to a massively generous public but urge those donating to one of our many drop off points to bear in mind babies, children and teens. Some of the most vulnerable in our society are often those overlooked. We are aware that what we do, for now, is a drop in the ocean but we believe if you can’t change the world you can change someone’s world within it. Join us and show some love to those that experience another world, right on our doorstep.”
Another World Belfast believes in the future both safe and free for homeless and displaced people in our city and beyond.
